History and Purpose

The Terryville Plymouth Day Care Center, Inc. was incorporated in 1983 as a private, non-profit organization to provide a much needed service to the surrounding community. Since 1984, the Center had operated as a human service organization in a local church facility. On August 7, 2000, we opened the doors of our brand new building with the help of a grant from the Connecticut Health and Education Facilities Authority (CHEFA).

The purpose of TPDCC is to provide an enriching childcare and preschool program that meets the needs of the children, the staff, the parents and the community. The Board of Directors, the staff and all involved in the Center’s policy formulation and implementation are committed to providing a quality program that will serve and benefit children and families from all ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.
